Telephone operators? Word processors and typists? These sound like job categories from the 80s. This just the first couple I noticed in the graph there. Aren't those jobs that were already largely gone even prior to AI?
Anyway, they have that first graph there showing extrapolated employment trends, but there's nothing about the methodology they used to come up with it.

Also take a look at "Directors, Religious Activities and Education." It's one of the roles that ends up at 100% unemployment:
Somehow they're projecting in 2035 employment in that area will spike. Are they projecting AI going to ban Sunday school or something, and all religious people will start worshiping the machine god, with services officiated by their laptops?

We need rapid AI adoption and scaring people with misleading job loss scenarios doesn't help at all.
AI isn't going to kill humanity, either. I'm 100% certain of that in the next 5 years.

I agree about AI not killing humanity in the next 5 years, but why do we need rapid AI adoption?

The main problem is that we keep calling it AI … these text processors are useful but where is the evidence that they will scale to AGI?
If I built a calculator a few years ago then I built a mind blowing calculator today - it does not mean that I’m about to solve every math problem in the universe but it mean that I got good at building calculators

We modeled how fast AI would eat through ~800 jobs. Try it!
